Poland – There will be a funeral service at noon on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home in Boardman for Rocco A. DeLisio, Sr, 86, who passed away Sunday, June 22, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. Rocco was born August 27, 1927 in Lowellville, the son of John and Pasqueline (Vespasian) DeLisio. Rocco courageously served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He worked for Wean United, Youngstown Foundry and Sharon Steel. He was a member of St. Luke Church and was involved with the Cursillo. Rocco was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Castelbacttio Club. His wife the former Lena Tesone whom he married November 20, 1948, passed away October 15, 1989. Rocco will always be lovingly remembered by his two sons, Rocco DeLisio, Jr., and Ron (Melissa) DeLisio, Sr.; daughter, Shirley (Dave) Delisio; seven grandchildren, Ron Jr. (Abbi), Jennifer (George) Dravecky, Rocco III (Lindsay, Dante, Felicia, Chris and Nicole; three great-grandchildren, Madison and Tanner Dravecky and Ryleigh DeLisio, and brother Bill DeLisio. Besides his parents and wife, Rocco was preceded in death by three sisters, Marie Centofanti, Antoinette Kinkela and Helen Faraglia and two brothers, John Jr. and Anthony DeLisio. Friends may call on Wednesday, June 25 from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Avenue in Boardman. The DeLisio Family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to the entire staff at Shepherd of the Valley Assisted Living and Hospice House for the kind and compassionate care shown to Rocco.
