Patrick J. DeMichele
Patrick J. DeMichele, 93

Boardman – There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at St. Dominic Church, 77 E. Lucius Avenue in Youngstown, for Patrick J. DeMichele 93, who passed away Thursday, July 3, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. Patrick was born March 13, 1921 in Montelogno, Italy, the son of James and Julie (Petrella) DeMichele. He came to America in 1937, at the age of 16. Patrick courageously served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII as a member of the 82nd Airborne Division and served at the Battle of the Bulge. He worked for McKelvey’s as a professional master tailor, a skill that Patrick began at a very young age. He was a member of St. Dominic Church. Patrick enjoyed vacationing in Florida with his wife and spending time with his family during the holidays. He especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Patrick took great pride in his homemade wine and loved to drink and share it with family and friends. His wife, the former Georgia Vitullo whom he married February 15, 1947, passed away December 26, 2003. Patrick will always be lovingly remembered by his two children, Christine (Jimmy) Malie of Boardman and James DeMichele of Poland; two grandsons, Jimmy Joe Malie of Boardman and Patrick Malie of Corpus Christi, TX; and sister Rose (Andy) Russo of Boardman. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife. Friends may call on Tuesday, July 8 at St. Dominic Church from 9 a.m. until the time of the Mass. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests monetary donations be made in Patrick’s name to St. Dominic Church. The Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Avenue in Boardman has been bestowed the honor and privilege of handling the arrangements for Patrick.
