Larry “Chick” Cicoretti Sr., 95
LIBERTY TOWNSHIP – There will be funeral services at 9 a.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2014, at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home in Boardman followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Columba Cathedral, for Larry “Chick” Cicoretti Sr., 95, who passed away Saturday morning, July 19, 2014.
Chick was born Sept. 8, 1918, in Struthers, the son of Harry and Philomena (Ferranti) Cicoretti.
He was a proud graduate of Struthers High School and retired after 35 years of service at General Fireproofing. Chick proudly served his country during World War II with the U.S. Army Air Force. He was a member of St. Columba Cathedral.
Chick was extremely family oriented and he cherished every day by surrounding himself with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Chick will always be lovingly remembered by his dear wife of 74 years, Mary (Barthalamew) Cicoretti, whom he married June 22, 1940, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church; his daughter, Donna (Andy) Bodzak of Liberty Township; his son, Larry (Marianne) Cicoretti of Poland; four grandchildren, Monique (Tom) Abbas, Dean (Andrea) Cicoretti, Andrea (Jim) Allender, and Chelana (Dean) Maggs; and five great-grandchildren, Jimmy Allender, Deandra and Jayden Maggs, and Giana and Aviana Abbas.
Besides his parents, Chick was preceded in death by his two sisters, Mary Angelo and Nate Zillo; and his brother, Dominic Cicoretti.
Friends may call on Wednesday, July 23, 2014, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman.
