Obituary for Grace A. Ferenchak

Grace A. Ferenchak
Grace A. Ferenchak, 89

Columbiana – There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am on Friday, July 25, 2014 at St. Matthias Church at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, for Grace A. Ferenchak, 89, who passed away on Monday, July 21, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 4, 1925 in Leetonia, the daughter of Matthew and Lucy (DiGiacomo) Giambattista. Grace was a repair dispatcher and operator for Ohio Bell. She was a member of St. Matthias Church at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish and also a member of Communication Workers of America. She enjoyed bingo, bus trips and loved butterflies. Grace will always be lovingly remembered by her four children, Ronald (Rosemary) Ferenchak of Maumee, Jeffrey (Martha) Ferenchak of Boardman, John (Lori) Ferenchak of Columbus and Lynne (fiancé Mike) Heubel of Boardman; seven grandchildren, Corriander, Gregory, Jake, Zach, Justin (fiancé Sarah), Kelly (fiancé Ryan) and Kayla; six great-grandchildren, Ceyanne, Isabella, Kaydence, Dominik, Madison and Christian; two brothers, Alex and Michael Giambattista, and many loving nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Michael J. Ferenchak and Ali Ryan Ferenchak; two sisters, Joanne Avritt and Catherine Paul; and two brothers, Anthony and Gabriel Giambattista. Friends may call on Thursday, July 24 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Avenue in Boardman and again on Friday, July 25 from 9:15 a.m. until the time of Mass at the church. “Grace carried God’s love to others in her own way, as a child of God. Her home and her heart were always open to those who, for whatever reason could not find love elsewhere. She lived Christ’s call to “Love your neighbor as yourself.” The world is a better place because of this beautiful woman with a loving heart and a smile that lit up the room with the joy she so generously shared with all of us.” Family and friends may visit the Book of Memories at www.rossifunerals.com to view this tribute and send condolences to Grace’s family.
