Obituary for Nancy Colon
Nancy Colon, 60
STRUTHERS – Nancy Colon, 60, formerly of Campbell, was called home to be with her Lord on Tuesday morning, Aug. 12, 2014.
Nancy was born June 19, 1954, in Youngstown, the daughter of Francisco Colon and Candida Rios.
She worked for 30 years as an aide at the Boardman Community Care Center. She was a member of Victory Christian Church and enjoyed reading her bible. She loved attending church and completing cross puzzles and especially cherished the time spent with her nieces and nephews. She graduated in 1973 from Campbell Memorial High School.
Nancy will always be lovingly remembered by her mother, Candida; four siblings, Aida Colon-Perez of Struthers, George L. Colon of Virginia, Adaleida L. Rivera of Campbell, and Ruth (Clyde) Taylor of Cleveland; her stepdad, Fernando Rios and his family; many loving nieces and nephews; a great-niece and two great-nephews.
Besides her father, Francisco, Nancy was preceded in death by her grandparents, Pedro and Aquiliana Colon; her niece, Ericka Rivera; and brother-in-law Nehemia Rivera.
Friends may call today, Aug. 15, from 4 to 7 p.m. and again on Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of the services at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014, at the funeral home with Pastor Cecilio Cuevas officiating the service for Nancy.
