POLAND ­ There will be funeral services at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 18, 2014, at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home in Boardman, followed by a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial, with the Very Rev. Msgr. Michael J. Cariglio at the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Basilica in Youngstown, for Anthony J. "Tony" Scarnecchia, 59, who passed away Wednesday evening, Aug. 13, 2014.
Tony was born Jan. 29, 1955, in Youngstown, the son of Anthony D. and Catherine (Laubert) Scarnecchia.
In 1973, Tony graduated from Struthers High School. He was an entrepreneur, most recently owning and operating the Used Car Connection. He was a member of the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church and its men¹s society.
Tony will be remembered lovingly by his five children, Anthony D. of New Middletown, Victor of Charlotte, N.C., Dominic of Raleigh, N.C., Amanda
(Ross) Kohl of Cincinnati, and Elyssa Scarnecchia of Struthers; his precious granddaughter, Lilliana, and soon-to-be-born grandson, Anthony Victor; three siblings, Ronald (Lisa) Scarnecchia of Las Vegas, Robert Scarnecchia of Florida, and Kathleen Scarnecchia of New Middletown; his niece, Mary Scarnecchia of Las Vegas; his nephew, Jason Scarnecchia of Canfield; and a special cousin, Patricia Griffin of California.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call on Sunday, Aug. 17, 2014, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman.
