Eugene “Gino” Pascarella, III, 57


Struthers – There will be funeral services 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home in Boardman for Eugene “Gino” Pascarella, III, 57, who passed away Monday August 25, 2014. Gene was born August 24, 1957 in Youngstown, the son of Eugene Jr. and Josephine (Bohac) Pascarella. Gene was a 1976 graduate of Boardman High School. He was certified as a heavy equipment operator. Gene worked security for Beaver Nuclear Power Plant in Shippingport, Pennsylvania for a number of years. He retired from NASA in Cape Canaveral, Florida and then started his own remodeling business. Gene enjoyed camping, classic cars, grilling out and socializing with his many friends locally and at Geneva-on-the-Lake. He loved spending time with his family. Where ever you saw Gene, you would find his second greatest love, Gracie, his beloved Newfoundland dog. Gene will be remembered lovingly by his devoted wife, the former Kathleen Zaluski of Struthers, whom he married November 3, 1998; step-children, Carlene Beck and Daniel and David Beck, all of Boardman; grandson, Bryce Ostavitz; brother, Jeff Pascarella; nieces, Amanda Logiudice and Leann Hermez; nephews, Marc Jennings, Ed Hermez, Nick Hermez and Jeff Pascarella, Jr.; aunts, Effie Pascarella, Peggy Stillerman and Maryann Reese; and uncles, Pat Pascarella and Robert Reese. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends may call on Saturday, August 30, 2014 from 11a.m to 1:30 p.m. at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Avenue in Boardman.
