Obituary for Harry Ritchey

Harry Ritchey
Harry Ritchey, 86
BOARDMAN – Harry Ritchey, 86, passed away peacefully during the evening of Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014, after a two year battle with cancer.
He was born Sept. 12, 1928, in Masury, the son of the late Harry and Mary (Cellinese) Ritchey.
Harry faithfully served his country as a corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked at Republic Steel as a turn foreman in the electric weld shop, retiring in 1982. He was a member of St. Charles Church and the I.T.A.M. Post No. 3. Harry enjoyed taking the family dogs on evening walks and watching them play. He also enjoyed working on his cars and working in his yard, in which he took great pride. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and neighbors. Harry always greeted them with an infectious smile and generous nature.
His wife Ruth G. (Glancy) Ritchey, whom he married Feb. 19, 1952, passed away April 9, 2010.
Harry will always be remembered lovingly by his two daughters, Linda (Ralph) Cucitrone of Boardman and Ruth C. Ritchey of Waterford, N.Y.; as well as two grandchildren, Gina and Anthony Cucitrone.
Besides his parents; Harry was preceded in death by his brother, Tully V. Foster; and his sister, Caroline Carter.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 19, 2014, at St. Charles Borromeo Church with Rev. Philip Rogers celebrating the Mass with calling hours at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday evening, Sept. 18, 2014, at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman.
Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery, where full Military Honors for Harry’s dedicated service to our country will be provided by the great men of V.F.W. Post 9571.
