Rosemary Bernard Labato, 81

YOUNGSTOWN - There will be funeral services at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 25, 2014, at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home in Boardman, for Rosemary Bernard Labato, 81, who passed away peacefully in her sleep, at home, on Monday, Sept. 22, 2014, with her loving family by her side.
Rosemary was born Oct. 29, 1932, in Youngstown, the daughter of Frank and Rosemary (Lucarelli) Bernard.
She was a homemaker. Rosemary enjoyed babysitting children for many years. She loved cooking, especially at large family gatherings. Her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed playing cards, doing crafts, sitting on her front porch with tons of flowers, and watching “her” Atlanta Braves.
Her husband, Arthur Labato, whom she married Nov. 3, 1956, passed away Dec. 21, 1974.
Rosemary will always be lovingly remembered by her four children, Regina (Samuel) Racketa of Girard, Dominic (Rosie) Labato of Canfield, Arthur Labato of Youngstown and Rosemary (Richard) Karl of Youngstown; two grandchildren, Richard Maldonado and Kristyna Rose Labato; two sisters, Theresa Makosky of Austintown and Eleanor Parillo of Girard; brother Michael Bernard of Winter Garden, Fla.; numerous nieces and nephews; and grandpets, Mollie, Rusty, Homer, Addison, Aleah, Harley, Vinnie and Bruno.
Besides her parents and husband, Rosemary was preceded in death by two sisters, Katherine Ferraro and Minnie Bernard, and five brothers, James, Nicholas, George, Joseph and Patrick Bernard.
Friends may call on Thursday, Sept. 25, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman.
