Obituary for Delbert Runion Jr.

Delbert Runion Jr.
Delbert Runion Jr., 45
POLAND – Delbert Runion Jr., 45, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family Friday, Sept. 26, 2014, from a lifelong disease at The Cleveland Clinic.
He was born April 25, 1969, in Dearborn, Mich. He moved to Youngstown, in 1983 and graduated from Wilson High School in 1988.
He was once employed at Westers Fuel & Supply as a Drywall Deliverer and Ron Kreps as a Dry wall Finisher. Then he became the Nemenz IGA No. 1 driver. Delbert may have been 45, however, he was really a kid at heart and loved the company of family and friends playing games of any kind: poker (even though he was told that he might as well just keep his car running and drop off his money), backgammon, ping pong, frisbee or going to a Scrappers game.
He will be sadly missed by his mother, Veronica “Vicky” Pitzulo and her husband, John Pitzulo of Lowellville.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Jennifer Cetor- Runion, whom he married July 4, 2010, and their two year old son, Lucas J. Runion. He also leaves two sons, Zackary and Jacob Runion and their mother, Dianna Runion of Hubbard; his brother, Ronald (Wanda Sue) Runion of Canfield; sister Angel (Kirk) Green of Eugene, Ore.; and half sister Loretta Runion; and step-sister Jill Gunnerson of Homer Alaska. He will be missed by a host of his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many long-time friends.
Delbert was predeceased in death by his father, Delbert Runion Sr. and his stepbrother, Sam Gunnerson.
The family would like to sincerely thank all the doctors, staff and caregivers for their help, support and compassion throughout the years of Del’s illness. The family would also like to extend a special heartfelt thank you to Dr. Lambert (ENT) of Youngstown and Dr. Thomas Gildae (Pulmonary) of Cleveland Clinic who took a special interest in Delbert’s case.
In celebration of Del’s life and memories, the viewing will be held on Monday, Sept. 29, 2014, from 5 to 8 p.m. The service will be Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2014, at 10 am. Both will be held at Rossi & Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave., Boardman, OH 44512.
