Margaret “Margie” Tomasino, 89

AUSTINTOWN – There will be funeral services at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014, at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home in Boardman for Margaret “Margie” Tomasino, 89, who passed away quietly on Tuesday morning, Sept. 30, 2014, at The Humility of Mary Health Partners in Austintown.
Margie was born June 22, 1925, in Youngstown, a daughter of James and Clara DiMartino.
Her youth was spent on Lansing Avenue and she attended East High School. Most of her adult life was in Youngstown and Boardman where she was self-employed for many years as a beautician. She loved to garden and create beautiful artificial flower arrangements. She was a past president of the East Side Art and Needle Club. Margie spent many hours at Mill Creek Golf course with Maize. She was a member of St. Dominic’s Parish.
Margie is survived by her husband, Charles "Maize" of 66 years whom she married in August 1948. She leaves her two sons, Mike (Carolyn) of Calabash, N.C. and Dan (Sharon) of North Huntingdon, Pa.; her brother, Nick (Lee) DiMartino; granddaughters Nicole (Bill) Ruggles and Carla (Will); grandsons James (Leah), Brian and Benjamin; and five great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Johnny, and Anthony Ruggles, Wit Tomasino and Joel Batts.
Besides her parents, Margie was preceded in death by her sister, Pauline Dzuray and brothers Armand, George, John and Mario.
The family will meet friends on Friday, Oct. 3, 2014, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home 4442 South Ave., in Boardman.
