Dorothy Ierace, 87

YOUNGSTOWN – Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2014, at Calvary Cemetery for Dorothy Ierace, 87, who passed away Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014, at Assumption Village with her family by her side.
Dorothy was born April 4, 1927, in Masury, the daughter of John and Anna (Kostic) Kwarciak.
She attended Brookfield High School and was a member of St. Dominic Church. Dorothy worked as a waitress at various Youngstown area restaurants for more than 40 years before retiring. She enjoyed baking cookies for weddings and her family.
Dorothy was an avid animal lover and enjoyed dog sitting for many friends over the years. She also enjoyed taking care of her own dogs and spending time with her children.
Her husband, Salvador Ierace, whom she married in 1956, preceded her in death.
She will be sadly missed by her two daughters, Sandy (Bob) Dougherty of Struthers and Tina (Nelson) Davis of Boardman.
Besides her parents and husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by three sisters, Louise Baytos, Kate Mikita and Jean O’Rourke; and two brothers, Edward and John Kwarciak.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the nurses and caregivers at Assumption Village and Hospice of the Valley. Her daughters would also like to extend a special thank you to Evie, Bryan and Cindy for all of their kindness and friendship.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman.
