Stephen Szekely, 77


Youngstown – There will funeral services at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 11, 2014, at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home in Boardman, for Stephen Szekely, 77, who passed away Friday, November 7, 2014. Stephen was born April 12, 1937 in Mistokos, Hungary, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Szekely. Stephen was retired from the the Breighton Electric Steel Casing Division in Beaver Falls, PA. Stephen participated in the Hungarian Revolution in his local community prior to immigrating to America. His wife, the former Joann L. Galterio whom he married on April 28, 1962, passed away on February 9, 2004. Stephen was a member of the Hungarian Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed gardening, dancing and was an associate member of the Hungarian Club. Stephen will always be lovingly remembered by his two children, Roxanne Szekely and Stephen Jr. (Melissa) Szekely; grandson, Noah; two sisters, Anna Kovac and Susan Szekely. Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brother, Frank Szekely, Jr. Friends may call on Monday, November 10 from 5 to 7 p.m. the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Avenue in Boardman.
