Louis Caro, 93
STRUTHERS There will be a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014, at Christ Our Savior (St. Nicholas Church) in Struthers with Rev. Bernie Gaeta celebrating the Mass for Louis Caro, 93, who passed Saturday afternoon, Nov. 22, 2014.
Louis was born Dec. 19, 1920, in Italy, the son of Mariano and Emelia
(Perluca) Caccarozzo and immigrated to America in 1933.
He worked many years, retiring in 1985 from Truscon Steel. He was a member of Christ Our Savior Parish, V.F.W. Post 8841, and enjoyed golfing and bowling. Louis faithfully served our country with the U.S. Army at New Caledonia in the South Pacific during World War II.
Louis will always be lovingly remembered by his wife, Bernice (Markovich) Caro, whom he married Aug. 19, 1944; his daughter, Diane (Dennis) Collins of Pensacola, Fla.; grandson Jason (Rachael Poston) Collins of Santa Anna, Calif.; and his sister, Sylvia Macciomi of Massachusetts.
Besides his parents, Louis was preceded in death by a sister, Nellie Pennesi and a brother, Joseph Caccarozzo.
Friends may call today, Nov. 25, 2014, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman.
