Angelo J. Diana, 93
Youngstown – There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at St. Dominic Church in Youngstown for Angelo J. Diana, 93, who passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. Angelo was born on January 11, 1921 in Agnone, Italy, the son of Antonio and Angelina (Iaciancio) Diana and came to America in 1927. He attended the Youngstown Schools and graduated from East High School in 1941. He courageously served his country in the U.S. Army Air Force during WWII where he was a master sergeant and crew chief while serving in England. He retired from the Youngstown Water Department in 1981 after 20 years of service. Angelo was a member of St. Dominic Church. He will always be lovingly remembered by his wife, the former Antoinette Carrino whom he married on June 18, 1949; four children that he was blessed with, Nancy (Edward) Miller of Daytona Beach, FL, Janet (Rick) Sympson of Houston, TX, Ronald Diana of Youngstown and James Diana of Austintown; four grandchildren, Amy (Mark) Mitchell, Angelina Diana, Lyndsey Peardon and Ryan Miller; three great-grandchildren, Gracie, Makenzie and Charles; sister, Theresa Cortell, and brother Pat Diana. Friends may call on Friday, November 28 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Avenue in Boardman.
