Obituary for Robert M. "Robbie" Campy

Robert M. "Robbie" Campy
Robert M. Campy, 24
BOARDMAN - Robert M. Campy, 24, passed away on Nov. 27, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Robbie was born July 10, 1990, and was a 2009 graduate of Boardman High School. After graduation he went through training as a mechanic at the M.C.C.T.C. Robbie was known for his laughter and for his carefree personality. He enjoyed spending time with family at get-togethers, especially during the holidays. Robbie had lots of friends and spent free time during the summer camping and hanging out with friends. He enjoyed cars and trucks. Since his childhood, Robbie’s favorite car was the action packed General Lee. Robbie was also a big fan of professional wrestling. As a cancer survivor he had the opportunity to meet several wrestlers in Los Angeles with his family. He also liked to practice the moves he learned on the trampoline. Robbie was employed by Valley Industrial Trucks, where he repaired and reconditioned equipment. He was proud of his work and showed pictures of equipment that looked new again after he was finished working on it. His great-grandfather, Steve Sosnosky, “PaPa,” who preceded him in death, would be proud.
Robbie is survived by his proud parents, Patty Campy of Boardman and Rob Campy also of Boardman. Robbie was blessed with a great role model and father figure in his life, Tom Gizzi, who had been constant in his life for many years. He has two wonderful sisters, Taylor and Brianna, both at home. He is survived by grandparents Patricia Billett of Boardman and Gene and Jackie Campy of Boardman. He is also survived by his uncle, Pat (Barb) Billett, aunt Sherri Billett, aunt Carly (Dan) Matula and uncle Mike Campy.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Patsy Billett Sr.
Robbie has many cousins that include Lauren and Lindsey Billett, and Keira, Korbin and Mikey Campy. Robbie has lots of friends especially his closest of Vinnie, Bubba, Steve, Alex and Shane.
There will be funeral services at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 1, 2014, at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman.
Friends may call on Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
