Obituary for Ethel M. Cook

Ethel M. Cook, 75

YOUNGSTOWN – There will be a funeral service at 9 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 22, 2014, at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home in Boardman followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Brendan Church with Rev. William Loveless celebrating for Ethel M. Cook, 75, who passed away Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014.
Ethel was born Sept. 8, 1939, in Youngstown, the daughter of Joseph and Laura (Atkinson) Pallone.
Ethel was a graduate of The Rayen School. She retired as an operator/clerk from Answer Phone Company after 15 years of service. She was a member of St. Brendan Church, its Altar Rosary Society, and its senior club. She was also a member of Ladies of Charity and the Moose Club of Pittsburg, Calif.
Ethel enjoyed spending time with her family, especially attending her grandchildren’s school and sporting events. She loved to host Christmas dinner at her home. Ethel enjoyed playing cards and taking trips to Mountaineer.
Her husband, Eugene J. Cook, whom she married May 6, 1961, passed away June 7, 1995.
Ethel will always be remembered lovingly by her two sons, Eugene (Lisa) Cook Jr. and David Cook, both of Youngstown; six grandchildren, Amanda, Ryan, Kaitlyn, Kayla, Julie and Zackary Cook; and sister Patricia Mulac of Pittsburg, Calif.
Besides her parents and husband, Ethel was preceded in death by brother Joseph Pallone and Margaret Burke.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 21, at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman.
