Obituary for Paul E. Shovlin

Paul E. Shovlin, 80

YOUNGSTOWN – There will be funeral services at 9 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 16, 2015, at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home in Boardman, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick Church in Youngstown for Paul E. Shovlin, 80, who passed away on Sunday, Jan. 11, 2015.
Paul was born on March 26, 1934, in Youngstown, the son of Patrick and Emma L. (Schreiner) Shovlin.
He was a 1951 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and courageously served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Paul worked at Republic Steel as a Yard Master for over 20 years. He also operated Paul’s Tire on Southern Boulevard and managed three Amoco Stations in the area.
He was a member of St. Patrick Church. Paul was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Saxon Club, A.O.H. Club, and was a former Boardman Trustee.
Paul will be lovingly remembered by his three children, Diane, Debbie and Frank; three grandchildren; two great-grandsons; three sisters, Margaret Sweeney of California, Mary Catherine Killian of Florida and Patricia Vlock of Liberty; and brother George (Donna) Shovlin of Boardman.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 15, at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman.
