Nicholas Joseph “Nick” Castor Jr., 65
POLAND – There will be funeral services at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 30, 2015, at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home in Boardman for Nicholas Joseph “Nick” Castor Jr., 65, who passed away peacefully, Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015, with his loving family by his side. Nick was born Feb. 9, 1949, in Youngstown, the son of Nick (Bear) and Genevieve (Packo) Castor. Nick was a graduate of The Rayen School, class of 1967. Nick was most recently employed at RTI in Niles for 25 years as a structural tech. He was a member of the United Steel Workers Union Local 2155. Nick loved to play golf and was a fan of the Cleveland Browns.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 26 years, the former Debra A. Rapone, whom he married Nov. 19, 1988; two sisters, Geri Castor of Austintown and Gina Shutrump of Canfield; uncle George Packo of Ashtabula; mother-in-law Kathleen Rapone of Struthers; sisters and brothers-in-law; and many loving nieces, nephews, godchildren, cousins and longtime friends. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Robert Rapone. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 29, at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman. Debbie would like to thank Dr. Mohammed Islam and staff from New Castle and Dr. Joseph Gallo and staff of Midlothian Medical Center for the loving care for five years of Nick fighting the impossible.
