Obituary for Joseph S DeMichael

Joseph S. DeMichael, 83

YOUNGSTOWN – There will be funeral services at 9 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 20, 2015, at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home in Boardman followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Basilica with the Very Rev. Msgr. Michael J. Cariglio celebrating, for Joseph S. DeMichael, 83, who passed away Sunday, Feb. 15, 2015, surrounded by his loving family.
Joseph was born July 1, 1931, in Youngstown, the son of Joseph S. Sr. and Vincenzina DeMichael.
Joseph owned and operated DeMichael and Sons Auto. He enjoyed playing the accordion and was often featured playing on the radio. He also was an avid bowler. Joseph was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Basilica where he was a Eucharistic Minister.
His wife, the former Vera Marie Cutlip, whom he married Sept. 25, 1954, passed away July 24, 2010.
Joseph will always be remembered lovingly by daughter Theresa DeMichael; two sons, David (Cecelia) DeMichael and Joseph P. DeMichael III; five grandchildren, Jillian (Andrew) Eanniello, Rachel (Dan) Kishton, Nicholas DeMichael, Billy Marsteller and Sara Rodino; eight great-grandchildren, Giordanne, Geneva, Gabriella, Nicholas and Noah Eanniello, Eliana DeMichael and Addison and Riley Kishton; three sisters-in-law, Rosemarie DeMichael, Vada (Alvie) Graham and LuLu Bernardich; brother-in-law Tom (Marlene) Cutlip; and many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Joshua DeMichael; brother Emil DeMichael; sister Anna Marie (John) Kodash; and brother-in-law George Bernardich.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 19, at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman.
