Gladys June Gething,82

POLAND – Gladys June Gething, 82, passed away Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015.
She was born June 24, 1932, in New Bedford, Pa., the daughter of Mildred (Shaner) and Frederick Guckert. She lived in Youngstown and Austintown.
She was a 1951 graduate of South High School. She graduated as an LPN in 1971, from Choffin Career Center and worked at Northside Hospital from 1971 until retiring in 1999 from Park Vista Nursing Home.
Gladys loved animals, especially her dogs, Brandy and Bailey. She loved shopping, cooking, playing cards and the casinos.
She is survived by her son, Fred (Angela) Gething.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Gething, whom she married June 12, 1950, and who died Oct. 5, 1993.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 26, at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman.
Interment will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 27, 2015, at Green Haven Memorial Gardens.
