Helen L. Semanik, 90
YOUNGSTOWN – There will be a funeral service at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 30, 2015, at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home in Boardman for Helen L. Semanik, 90, who passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2015, surrounded by her loving family.
Helen was born Jan. 20, 1925, in Youngstown, the daughter of Andrew and Nellie (Koluch) Panzyk.
Helen was a 1943 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School. She retired in 1957 from the x-ray department at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was a member of St. Luke Church and its Altar Rosary Society. She was also a member of St. Stanislaw Senior Citizens and the Catholic War Veterans Women’s Auxiliary Post 1222.
Her husband, Nicholas M. Semanik Jr., whom she married Nov. 19, 1955, passed away Feb. 3, 1995.
Helen will always be lovingly remembered by her son, Norman Semanik of Denver; three grandchildren; niece, Joyce Kemp of Youngstown; and two nephews, Jeff (Julie) Gillespie and Donald Gillespie.
Besides her parents and husband, Helen was preceded in death by two sisters, Bernice Gillespie and Stella Kemp.
Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. on Monday, March 30, prior to the service at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman.
