Mabel Tamburro, 96
NEW MIDDLETOWN – There will be a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, April 30, 2015, at St. Stanislaus Church in Youngstown for Mabel Tamburro, 96, who passed away Sunday, April 26, 2015, surrounded by her loving family.
Mabel was born July 29, 1918, in Warren, the daughter of Leonard and Nancy (Gentile) Tamburro and came to Youngstown as a child.
Mabel worked for Manchester, Bennett, Powers and Wellman and retired as a secretary from L.T.V. Steel. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Church, its Infant Jesus of Prague Guild and its Altar & Rosary Society. She served as a Eucharistic Minister for the homebound and visited nursing home parishioners. She was also a member of the C.W.V. Auxiliary Post 1222.
Mabel will always be remembered lovingly by three brothers, Donald J. (Liz) Tamburro of Texas, Robert F. Tamburro of Youngstown and Leonard (Antoinette) Tamburro of Youngstown; sister Lenore White of Poland; and many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and a great-great nephew.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends may call on Wednesday, April 29, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave., in Boardman and again on Thursday, from 9 to 10 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Church prior to the Mass.
