Crispin Gonzalez, 91


Campbell – There will be funeral services at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 11, 2015 at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home in Boardman followed by a 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Christ the Good Shepherd Sta. Rosa de Lima Church with Rev. William Loveless celebrating for Crispin Gonzalez, 91, who passed away at home of renal failure on Saturday, May 2, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Gonzalez was born October 25, 1923 in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico, the son of Alejandro Gonzalez and Delfina Pagan, and came to this area in 1951. He worked 42 years for LTV/Youngstown Sheet and Tube/ Campbell Works as a scarfer. He was a WWII Army Veteran. His wife Maria E. Gonzalez whom he married October 28, 1943, passed away March 19, 2000. He leaves two daughters, Lydia Rose (Gary) Bell of Portage County and Norma Gonzalez at home; six sisters, Librada, Julia, Iris, and Elba Gonzalez, all of Puerto Rico, Esther Carrasquillo of Poland, and Carmen Rodriguez of Queens, N.Y.; brother Juan Gonzalez of Campbell; 10 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. Besides his parents and wife, Crispin was preceded in death by his son, Chris Gonzalez; two brothers, Valentin and Felix; and sister, Antonia Gonzalez. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, May 10 at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Avenue in Boardman.
