Frank Hierro, 89

YOUNGSTOWN – There will be funeral services at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2015, at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Home in Boardman, for Frank Hierro, 89, who passed away on Thursday, Aug. 13, 2015, surrounded by his loving family.
Frank was born on July 1, 1926, in Youngstown, the son of Joseph and Theresa (Gonzalez) Hierro.
He was an electrician at Youngstown Sheet and Tube - Brier Hill Works. Frank was a member of St. Dominic Church and enjoyed reading papers, camping, golfing, making homemade wine, traveling, and spending time with his grandchildren.
His wife, the former Eleanor Texter, whom he married on May 25, 1945, passed away on Dec. 14, 2008.
Frank will be lovingly remembered by his three children, Patricia Ann (Steve) Fakner of Campbell, Linda Sue (Ronald) Sebest of Campbell, and Joseph E. (Belinda) Hierro of Boardman; nine grandchildren, Stephen (Pam) Fakner, Lori Ann (Frank) Castro, Brian (Trisha) Fakner, Roxann Sebest, Amy (Matthew) Yankle, Jason (Courtney) Sebest, Calla (Jonah) Mackey, Mara Hierro, and Carlo (Nicole Martin) Kitakis; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 17, at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman.
The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to the former and current staff at Beeghly Oaks and also Harbor Light Hospice for the kind and compassionate care shown to Frank.
