Theresa L. Cook, 96

NEW MIDDLETOWN – There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. today, Sept. 19, at St. Christine Church in Youngstown for Theresa L. Cook, 96, formerly of Austintown, who passed away peacefully on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2015 at Masternick Memorial Health Care Center.
Theresa was born Dec. 10, 1918, in Youngstown, the daughter of Tony R. and Mary S. (Purfey) Cook
She worked as a waitress at the former Purple Cow, and as a riviter at General Fireproofing making airplanes during World War II. She also worked as an operator for Answer Phone, Inc. She was a member of St. Christine Church.
Theresa will be remembered lovingly by her brother, Albert P. Cook of Cincinnati; and ten nieces and nephews and their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents and five siblings, Don, Rosie, Adeline, Rose, and A.C.
Friends may call today from 9:15 a.m. until the time of Mass at the church.
