Katherine M. Hanlon, 87
Boardman – There will be funeral services at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home in Boardman for Katherine M. Hanlon, 87, who passed away Friday, January 15, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. Katherine was born May 13, 1928 in Stafford, Ohio, the daughter of Clyde and Stella (Thompson) Brown. She was a cook at Little Forest Nursing Home and Boardman High School. She also wrote poems and lyrics for country music singers. Katherine will forever be remembered lovingly by her 6 children, Sharon Keener, Pam (Gary) Welker, James Hanlon, Mary K. (Tod) Tusinac, Robert Hanlon Jr., and Kathy (John) Phillips; 19 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mary Bartlett and Alice Serchak; and 2 brothers, Donald “Doddy” and Billy Brown. Besides her parents, Katherine was preceded in death her husband, Robert M. Hanlon; daughter, Sheila Rae Perry; son, Stephen Hanlon; sister, Judy Wallace; 3 brothers, Robert, Melvin and Ronald Brown; son-in-law, Dennis Keener; and daughter-in-law, Nancy Hanlon. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, January 18 at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Avenue in Boardman, and again on Tuesday, January 19 from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
