Janelle Walega, 90

BOARDMAN - There will be funeral services at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2016, at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home in Boardman followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave. in Youngstown with Rev. Edward Neroda celebrating the Mass for Janelle Walega, 90, who passed away peacefully on Monday, April 18, 2016, surrounded by her loving family.
Janelle was born Jan. 31, 1926, in Ramey, Pa., the daughter of Steve and Anna (Bobby) Gresh.
Janelle was employed at Republic Steel, The Griddle and J and J Gardens. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Church and loved gardening, canning, and water aerobics.
Her husband, Floyd J. Walega, whom she married Sept. 27, 1947, passed away Nov. 22, 1999.
Janelle will always be remembered lovingly by her three children, Cathy Martin of New Middletown, Floyd (Nancy) Walega of Boardman and Judy (George) Hamrock of Poland; four grandchildren, Stacie and Melissa Martin, Heather (John) Judin, and Chief Petty Officer Scott Clark (Mary), stationed in Guam with the U.S. Navy; four great-grandchildren, Eli and Zac Judin, and Dakota and Tanner Clark; and brother Art Gresh.
Besides her parents and husband, Janelle was preceded in death by brother David Gresh; and sister Velma Jane Gresh.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, April 22 at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman.
