Obituary for Harold Douglas "Doug" Scott

YOUNGSTOWN – Harold Douglas “Doug” Scott, 76, died July 2, 2016, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his family.
He was born Dec. 14, 1939, in Youngstown, the son of Addison and Donna (Stanish) Scott.
He was an employee of Gary Crim Construction and Rentals for 25 years.
He leaves his wife, Linda (Henneman), whom he married June 22, 1963; two daughters, Lisa (Delfin) Gonzalez of Boardman and Michelle (John) Martinez of Youngstown; a son, H. Douglas (Stacey) Scott II of Campbell; grandchildren John (Kristi) Martinez, Blasina (Kassandra) Martinez, Douglas Scott, Trista Scott, Heidi and Hannah Gonzalez; great-grandchildren Mackenzy Scott and Lilliana Martinez; three sisters, Bernadine Line of Hagerstown, Md., Elaine (James) Zagorsky of Youngstown, and Donna (Joseph) Zagorsky of Poland; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, Caroline Morris, Lucille Millich, Donna Jean and Delores Arlene Scott, who died at a young age, a brother, Bernard Scott, a niece, Pamela Zagorsky, a great niece Brittany Zagorsky, his father and mother-in-law Arthur and Agnes Henneman, three brothers in-law Kenneth Kopcsos, Pete Millich, and Joe Morris, and a nephew Kenny Kopcsos.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman from 5 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. on Thursday July 7, 2016, by Pastor Matt Ferguson of the Bible Baptist Temple, where Mr. Scott was a member.
A very special thank you to the nurses and doctors on the 8th floor stroke wing and 6th floor Progressive Cardiac Unit of St. Elizabeth’s Health Center for the excellent care you provided our loved one. Also, thank you to Hospice of the Valley for your kind care, compassionate support, and knowledgeable guidance to our father and family.
