Roman Cruz, 47, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 9, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. Roman was born March 22, 1969 in Trenton, New Jersey, the son of Teodoro Cruz and Luz Maria Lugo. He was a 1987 graduate of East High School and worked for Carano's Landscaping for 20 years. He was a member of Spanish Evangelical Church. He was deeply rooted in his faith which was instilled by his parents from a young age. Roman was a collector of Marvel Comic Books and DVD's. He enjoyed good cooking and spending time with his family. Roman will always be remembered lovingly by his ten siblings, Rafael (Violinda) Cruz of Youngstown, Marta Valentin of Youngstown, José Ramon (Carmen) Cruz of Campbell, Teodoro Jr. (Ann) Cruz of Coitsville, Wilfredo (Janice) Cruz of Canfield, Orlando (Millie) Cruz of Canfield, Victor Manuel (Mary) Cruz of Lowellville, Maritza (Israel) Maldonado of Campbell, Brunilda (Jose) Reyes of Campbell, and Lynette (Roberto) Arroyo of Youngstown; niece, Sarah (Kenneth) Cruz-Banks who was raised with him as his sister; numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant brother, Angel Manuel Cruz and nephew, Victor Cruz. Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 14 at Spanish Baptist Church, 2777 Oak Street Ext. in Youngstown followed by a 11 a.m. funeral service.
