NORTH LIMA - There will be a funeral service at 9 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 12, 2016, at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home in Boardman, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Christ the Good Shepherd Sta. Rosa de Lima Church, 394 Tenney Ave. in Campbell, with the Rev. Shawn Conoboy celebrating the life of Mary Collins, 91, who passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2016, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born March 19, 1925, in Youngstown, the daughter of John and Stella (Innhouse) Lamana.
Mary worked for 30 years as a nurse’s assistant at Assumption Village.
Her husband, James H. Collins Jr., passed away in 1993.
Mary enjoyed music, crocheting, shopping, going to casinos and her pets, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She will be remembered lovingly by her three children, Constance (David) Collins-Gasior of Youngstown, Patricia Collins of Girard, and James H. III (Anabel) Collins of Poland; nine grandchildren, Nancy Brancho, Stella (Willie) Stanley, Robert Brancho, Ruben Rodriguez, Constance (Angelo) Morales, Heather and Karina Collins, and Celia and Elena Andino; 29 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and sister Rose Bowman.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sister Katherine Soles.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 11, 2016, at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman.
