COLUMBUS - Josephine A. “Jo” Corroto, 92, a beloved sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend died peacefully at home on Monday, Jan. 30, 2017.
She was born on April 1, 1924, in Uniontown, Pa., to Walter J. and Anna (Pinchot) Nadrash.
She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church, graduated from The Rayen School, and worked as a seamstress at General Fireproofing. Her most important time was spent raising her four children and cooking macaroni and sauce for Tony.
Josephine was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 50 years, Anthony C. “Tony” Corroto; and sisters Dorothy Durkin and Marie Klingensmith.
She is survived by her brother, Steve Nadrash of Florida; daughter Joanne of Columbus; sons Tom (Kathy) of Dublin, Vince (Candace) of Hilliard and Anthony of Acworth, Ga.; grandchildren Becky (Kevin) McAveeney, Katie (fiancé Denham Miranda) Parks, Amanda and Andrew Parks, Julianne and Cara Corroto, Chelsey Corroto, Gabriella (Ryan) Krohn, and Madison, Nicole and Kerianne Corroto; great-granddaughter Bella; and cousins, nieces, nephews, clergy, staff and neighbors at The Villas of St. Therese in Columbus.
Friends may call from 4 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 2, at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home at 4442 South Ave. in Boardman.
There will be services on Friday, Feb. 3, at 9 a.m. at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Angela Merici Church, 400 Lincoln Park Drive in Youngstown.
Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, 248 S. Belle Vista Ave. in Youngstown.
