Obituary for Angie W. Williams Stratos

YOUNGSTOWN - There will be funeral services held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017, at St. John the Forerunner Greek Orthodox Church, 4955 Glenwood Ave. in Boardman with Father Thomas M. Constantine celebrating the service for Angie W. Stratos, 99, who passed away Saturday evening, Feb. 18.
Angie was born April 23, 1917, in Potamia, Sparta, Greece. She emigrated to the United Sates in 1930, with her parents, the late James (Panagoulias) Williams and Pinio (Anagnostakos) Williams.
Angie was predeceased by her husband, John N. Stratos; and her brother, Dr. Bill Williams.
She is survived by her two daughters, Demi Busky and Penny Stratos; her granddaughter, Tina (Ryan) Church; two great-grandchildren, Mason and Madison Church; and two sisters, Mary Williams and Georgia Williams.
Angie was a homemaker all of her life. She loved cooking, gardening, and taking care of her little dog, Chloe.
Angie was a faithful member of St. John the Forerunner Greek Orthodox Church, a past president of the Philoptochos and the first president of the Senior Citizens in the 1960s.
Friends may call on Thursday morning, Feb. 23 from 10 to 11 a.m. at St. John the Forerunner Greek Orthodox Church when the Trisagion service will be held at 9:55 a.m. Burial will follow the service at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
The family respectfully requests any donations be made in Angie’s honor to Crossroads Hospice, 3743 Boettler Oak Drive, Uniontown, OH 44685.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home at 4442 South Avenue.
