Obituary for Pauline Siembieda Murphy

Youngstown – Pauline Murphy, 98, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018. She was born May 9, 1920 in Campbell, the daughter of Anthony and Catherine (Soziniak) Siembieda. Pauline was a graduate of Campbell Memorial High School and worked as a supervisor in receiving at Strouss downtown. She was a member of SS. Cyril and Methodius Church at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish. Pauline was a wonderful aunt, great-aunt and great-great-aunt to many. She was godmother and Catholic sponsor to many family members and friends. She enjoyed knitting, gardening, and cooking. She took great pride in taking care of her neighbors who were no longer able to cook. Pauline will always be remembered lovingly by her sister, Virginia Setz; and many loving nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Murphy; five brothers, Ben, Joseph, John, Walter, and Anthony Siembieda; and two sisters, Mary Giampetro and Tina Kryzan. Family and friends may pay their respects from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, August 31, 2018, at SS. Cyril and Methodius Church at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish followed by a 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. The family extends special thanks to the staff at Woodlands Skilled Nursing Center for the care and comfort they gave to Pauline.
