Robert Gurgos, 74
ST. CHARLES, ILL. – Robert Gurgos, 74, passed away peacefully Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Robert was born May 29, 1941, in Youngstown, the son of Frank and Mary Gurgos.
For over 10 years, Robert was an Elburn Fire Commissioner.
His wife, the former Patricia Globun, whom he married June 24, 1961, passed away Oct. 30, 2000.
Robert will always be remembered lovingly by his three children, Michele (Robert) Riley of Kansas City, Mark (Jill) Gurgos of McHenry, Ill., and Paul (Laura) Gurgos of Bartlett, Ill.; six grandchildren, Rachel Riley, Daniel, Anna and Luke Gurgos and Brandon and Carlie Bywater; great-granddaughter Bailey Kleinke; two brothers, Frank (Carol) of Houston, and Michael (Cindy) of Pennsylvania; and his significant other, Ellen Sansone of New York.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 20, at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman.
The funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 21, at the funeral home.
Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery.
