Obituary for Diana S. Johnson

Diana S. Johnson
Diana S. Johnson, 39
GIRARD - Diana S. Johnson, 39, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 24, 2016, surrounded by her loving family.
Known to her family as “Diana duck,” she was born June 26, 1977, in Youngstown, the daughter of William Johnson and Virginia “GiGi” DeLuco.
Diana was a 1995 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School. She loved her profession as an x-ray technician, first at Northside Hospital, then in Fayetteville, Tenn.
Diana was an avid reader, and loved her many lifetime pets, coloring, singing, “Star Wars,” shopping, 80s movies, 90s music, poetry, mythology, and was a devoted collector of purses.
Diana loved passionately the people in her life, her family and many friends who became family, and constantly put others before herself. She was the proud founder of the Drop in the Bucket Foundation. She cherished her Catholic faith, as she was a member of St. Rose Church in Girard.
Diana will remain cherished lovingly by her mother, Virginia DeLuco of Liberty; father William (Rita) Johnson of Erie, Pa.; three siblings, Brian (Cheryl) Johnson of Hamilton, N.J., Jennifer Hylton of Paris, and George (Michelle) Hylton of Cortland; maternal grandmother, Anna DeLuco of Hubbard; three nieces, Avery Hylton, Alex Jones and Kiera Johnson; nephew Cullyn Johnson; beloved aunts, uncles and cousins; and her beloved dogs, Max, Ike, Angel, and Sisco.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Anthony “Tony” DeLuco Sr.; and paternal grandparents, Fran Bigelow and Richard Johnson.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 28, 2016, at St. Rose Church in Girard.
The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to the physicians and staff at Crossroads Hospice, Hospice of the Valley, and the Cleveland Clinic, especially Dr. Vincent Paolone MD for the kind and compassionate care shown to Diana.
