NORTH LIMA – There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017, at St. Luke Church in Boardman, with the Rev. Gerald DeLucia celebrating the life of Gene Aulisio, 99, who passed away Friday, Jan. 6, 2017.
He was born Dec. 5, 1917, in Crabtree, Pa., the son of Joseph and Rose (Agresti) Aulisio.
Gene courageously served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was the owner of Fosterville Party Shop.
His wife, of 73 years, the former Mary Sorge, passed away May 7, 2016.
He was a member of St. Luke Church.
Gene will be remembered lovingly by two children, Genie (Rich) Santagata of Trussville, Ala. and Jerry (Mary) Aulisio of Park Ridge, Ill.; seven grandchildren, Richard (Amy) Santagata, Jennifer (Justin) Graham, Christina Aulisio, Katie (Scott) Lutzow, Mark (Jessica) Aulisio, and Cara and Kevin Aulisio; five great-grandchildren, Drea Santagata, Rocco Graham, Bennett, Maddie, and Emma Lutzow; and sister, Dora Light.
Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by six siblings, Katherine, Nick, Tony, George, Frank, and Ang.
Friends may call at St. Luke Church from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass on Wednesday.
