Jacqueline M. "Nana"  Zupko
YOUNGSTOWN – There will be an 11:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, February 13, 2017, at Christ Our Savior St. Nicholas Church in Struthers, with Rev. Martin Celuch celebrating the life of Jacqueline M. Zupko, 83, who passed away, Tuesday, February 7, 2017. She was born October 30, 1933 in Youngstown, the daughter of Dennis and Sarah (Marinelli) Troll. She worked as a teacher’s aide at Jackson Elementary School and also in maintenance at the Mahoning County Courthouse. She was a member of Christ Our Savior St. Nicholas Church. Jacqueline loved bingo, listening to sports and the Italian hour on the radio, and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan. “Nana” looked forward to having family and friends to her home on Thursday nights for spaghetti. She adored her grandchildren and enjoyed attending all of their activities. Her husband, Frank Zupko, whom she married April 28, 1956, passed away January 17, 1997. Jacqueline will always be remembered lovingly by her four children, Frank (Beth) Zupko of Youngstown, Anna (David) Rotar of Florida, Denise (Dr. Dave) Podolsky of Canfield, and Mitchell (Renee) Zupko of Campbell; ten grandchildren, Lindsay and Billy Zupko, Robin (Lou) Angelo, Army Sgt. Joseph (Candace) Rotar of Alaska, Army Sgt. Anthony Rotar of Washington State, Dr. Alan, Michael, and Jacqueline Podolsky, and Brittaney and Amanda Rose Zupko; and two sisters, Maryann Grieco and Rosalie Williams. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas and Dennis Troll; and two sisters, Cora Gargano and Donna Jean Protain. Friends may call from 10:30 to 11:30 am at Christ Our Savior at St. Nicholas Church on Monday, February 13 prior to the Mass. Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home at 4442 South Avenue.
